The Arctic Council

The Sustainable Development Working Group is a working group of the Arctic Council

The Council is a high level forum to provide a means for promoting cooperation, coordination and interaction among the Arctic States, with the involvement of the Arctic indigenous communities and other Arctic inhabitants on common arctic issues, in particular issues of sustainable development and environmental protection in the Arctic. (The Council does not deal with matters of military security.)

The survey tool for the Arctic Information and Communication Technology Assessment is now available in hard copy or online. It is requested that data are submitted by the end of February 2008. The online version of the survey includes instructions for completion.
